Literacy
This week we have been describing a character’s appearance using adjectives. We focused on alien characters who would become Beegu’s friend.
Next week, we will be learning about the difference between a question and statement and writing our own questions.
Maths
This week we have been counting one more and one less than a given number. We have been using number lines and objects to find one more and one less.
Next week, we will be adding one-digit and two-digit numbers using a part-whole model and number sentences.
History
This week we have been learning about the race to space. The children then chose a section of the story to retell and draw.
Next week, we will be learning about Neil Armstrong’s life.
Forest School
Apricot Class got busy being very creative this week. They hunted for colours, made faces to show their feelings, created woodland mobiles and sticky pictures. There were also fishing rods made and chalk and charcoal pictures. A few rain showers kept them on their toes but lots of fun was had as they experimented with a range of ways they could be creative with nature.
