Year 1 Awards 08.10.2021



We have had another great week and there has been so much to celebrate in Year 1! 

These children have worked extremely hard and have been rewarded for all of their hard work and efforts.

E for Excellence

Walnut: Adam

Adam, for excellent effort in maths. Adam used the part part-whole model to complete his addition work and even supported another child to complete their task!

Apricot: Samuel

Samuel has been working really hard on his maths. He has been using objects and his favourite characters to practice his counting. Well done Samuel!


Joseph you have been working super hard at school to complete all of your tasks and during the input sessions. We are so proud of all of your hard work!




  Star Writers 


Walnut: Tyler

For working extremely hard to form your letters correctly and using your sounds to write lovely sentences in literacy lessons. 



Apricot: Thomas 

Thomas has completed some independent writing on Neil Armstrong. He used clear language to say his sentences and remembered Capital Letters and Full Stops when completing his writing. Good Job!

Beech: Nina 

Nina, for your excellent work in History and in the Literacy sessions. You always try your best when completing your activities. Well done Nina!





Learning Power Awards

These are the key skills that our children will need to learn effectively in class and to be successful later in life. 





These children have demonstrated perseverance, managed distractions, noticed patterns and been absorbed in their tasks. 


This has been awarded to: Teddy


 Emmalee in Walnut Class has earned the Resilience Award for working extremely hard to finish her maths task. She kept on trying until she completed it. Well done Emmalee!



These pupils have been curious about learning, made links between ideas, shown imagination, reasoned methodically and capitalised on resources.
