Pine Class visit the local library- READ ALL ABOUT IT!

Pine class visited their local library to find out how it works and to take out some exciting books they want to read during golden time in school. The children found out some exciting facts and asked thoughtful and reflective questions.
The class were excited to hear a story from their librarian and then look at the huge selection of books they have to offer. The class learned about the borrowing process and enjoyed using the machines to take out their own books back to school.

If anyone would like to sign up to this local library the children took home a joining form in their bags. We discovered that Hildene library is linked to 10 others in the area and that children can return their books to any of these no matter where they borrowed from. The borough is also linked to other London boroughs and so children can use their library card in any of these.

We are looking forward to reading our new books during golden time and storytime and are hoping to return in the summer term.

" I asked how many books were in the library and the librarian said that we had access to millions across the borough!!" Zara
"I asked how they got the books in the library. It is because they order them from a stockist and they get to choose any they want and put them in their library" Arnez
"There were too many to choose from, it was difficult! I cant wait to go back and choose another!" Tilly & Kaley.
