Mulberry Class Library Trip

Mulberry Class visit the library!

Mulberry Class were very excited to visit Hilldene Library. We set off after lunch and walked to Hilldene, where the librarian Viv, was eagerly waiting for us.
She told the children about the library service in Havering and how they could become a member. It was great to hear that so many of the children were already members and visited the library regularly.

They each got to choose a book to take back to class. Viv ended the session with a lovely story time!

Reading is a very important part of the children's education at Broadford and we endeavour to promote a love of reading through their everyday learning. The children read every day in school and we ask that they read for 15 minutes each night at home.
Reading for a short amount of time each night is such an important way to support your child's learning. When you read to your child or your child reads to you, you’re building their vocabulary, language and literacy skills, while improving concentration and memory.
