Well, the children would have never guessed that they would be building a castle out of newspaper.... Yes you're reading it right. Newspaper!
Who would have thought that a material, which is usually so flimsy, could be used for such a great purpose!
The children really impressed with their reciprocity skills. They worked in pairs to roll, glue and compress their newspapers to make strong, stable sticks. They then fixed them together using cable ties. Once this was done, they attached them to the large structure, gradually building it up to eventually create a Castle. They even created a door to go inside!
