Travelling back in time to the seaside

Ks1 had a brilliant time on Tuesday with freshwater theatre. First they were reminded of what we like to do at the seaside today, then using a special magic suitcase they travelled to the seaside in 1970,1950 and 1910. They visited a butlins holiday camp in 1970 and had great fun watching the knobbly knees competition and watching grandad Jacob and grandma Sienna compete for the dancing prize. In the 1950's they searched for interesting shells and to the rock pools, rembering to wear handkerchiefs to protect themselves from the sun. In 1910 the boys and girls separated and the girls pretended to change in special bathing huts. They had lots of fun and learnt some really interesting things!
