Yesterday we learnt that a Rangoli is a colourful design made on the floor near the entrance to houses in India to welcome guests. At Diwali, Hindus draw bright Rangoli to encourage the goddess Lakoshmi to enter their houses. We used flour and food dye to make out own Rangoli patterns outside, we made sure our designs were symmetrical.
