Pine class are learning out about India during International Week. This morning we looked at life in a school in Mumbai. We learnt that each family sends a Dabawala (literally meaning box person) to bring freshly cooked food in a Tiffin to their child for lunch. The Dabawalas transport thousands of lunch boxes which are colour coded to schools and we were amazed hardly any get lost on the way! The children then sampled some Indian foods including popadoms and mango chutney, daahl and vegetable samosas.
