Literacy
This week, the children wrote letters in the role of Egg box Dragon to their friends. They informed their friends about the very eventful journey to Buckingham Palace, how difficult it was to find the lost diamond, the grandeur of the visiting royalty, the breathtaking beauty of the palace and scrumptious meal.
Maths
This week, pupils have focused on lines of
symmetry and key vocabulary. They can
identify whether a shape is symmetrical
or not based on the definition of a symmetry.
Also, they have learnt to use lines of symmetry
to complete a shape. Furthermore, we have
focused on counting the edges, faces and
vertices of 3D shapes.
Science
This week the pupils conducted an experiment using
a wide variety of materials.
We wanted to discover whether the properties of the
materials would change shape after we had twisted,
bent and squeezed them. We were pleased to see that
most of our predictions came true!
Forest School
Mulberry class had a lovely morning around the fire on Tuesday.
They toasted waffles and marshmallows, drank hot chocolate
and helped to put the fire out at the end of the session.
Everyone also made a forest school Christmas decoration
from a wooden disc, a leaf star and some eco glitter.
Have a great Christmas everyone.
