Year 1 Awards

 

 

These children have worked extremely hard and have been rewarded for all of their hard work and efforts.

E for Excellence


Apricot: Jack

Jack has been managing his distractions when sitting on the carpet. Jack is starting to share his great ideas and opinions with the class. 




Beech: Hashim

Hashim has been working hard this week to follow instructions and complete Literacy and Maths tasks.





Walnut: Archie

For trying to be more productive within his learning. Archie is taking more ownership of his learning, especially in literacy where he is now using the resources around him. Well done Archie!


Star Writers 



Apricot: Billie

Billie has  tried her best when completing independent writing. She was able to change any small mistakes with an adult and recognised when she needed full stops. 





Beech: Violet

Violet wrote fantastic sentences in Literacy this week that include adjectives and conjunctions. 




Walnut: Luca

For trying super hard on his literacy assessment. Luca tried his best to use his phonic knowledge to sound out and write unfamiliar words. Excellent effort!


Learning Power Awards

These are the key skills that our children will need to learn effectively in class and to be successful later in life. 


Reciprocity

These children have shown interdependence, collaborated effectively, listened to others, displayed empathy and have imitated effective  ideas and methods from others. 


Reflectiveness 

These pupils have planned carefully, revised ideas, identified key features and can talk about their learning.

Zakariya- For managing classroom distractions well. Zakariya is trying hard to listen on the carpet and focus on his learning. Well done!




Mason: Mason has demonstrated resilience by trying hard, his attitude towards his learning super positive and always tries his best with a big smile. 





Resourcefulness :

Idris- For using resources in the classroom to improve his Literacy work. 





I Made My Teacher Happy Award: Karen 

Karen volunteered to help another child complete their writing by doing a hand over hand activity. Super Kind!!
