 Pupils were then able to independently retell the story, edit their work using a checklist and did pair activity where they looked at each other's work and gave positive feedback on a post-it note. Well done year 2!

This week, the Year 2 children have worked

very hard  to add using the column method.

First, they added without regrouping

(combining ten 1s to form 1 ten.).  Next, they added

two numbers whose total were more than ten

and had to combine the ten 1s to form

one ten  (regrouping). Then, they carried over the

1 ten to the 10s column. Fantastic effort!

Geography 

This week in geography, pupils looked at the climates of two different places; Australia and Antarctica. Pupils learnt the different climates within Australia and the extreme climate of Antarctica.
