Year 2 - Week 6 Learning

 

Literacy-

In Literacy, they children wrote all about what they have been learning over the course of this half term. We have all enjoyed learning about our world and how we can protect it.

Maths-

In Maths,  the children have worked extremely hard to find 1/4, 1/2, 1/3, 3/4 of a shape or number. 

They have followed these steps to success to find the answer:

1. Find the whole number

2. Divide by the denominator  (bottom number )

3. Draw and share the denominator into equal groups 

4. Write the answer 

Litter March

To conclude our 'Our World' topic, the children went on a litter march. They enjoyed working hard to help their community and even received special thanks from some local people.

Easter fun

On Friday, we ended the week with an Easter egg hunt. We worked together to search the classroom for chocolate before completing a big tidy up of all of our resources.
