Year 1 Awards

 

  

We have had another great week and there has been so much to celebrate in Year 1! 

These children have worked extremely hard and have been rewarded for all of their hard work and efforts.

E for Excellence


Walnut: Cruz 

Cruz has worked really hard to use mathematical symbols to compare different capacities. Well done!


Apricot: Joseph 

Joseph has returned to school with a very positive attitude and has been working hard on capacity and volume. 

Beech: Lucas


Lucas, in recognition of your super positive attitude to your work. You always try your best with every task and help others with your fantastic ideas. Well done Lucas


 

  Star Writers 

 

Walnut: Aadya

 

Aadya has written lovely sentences to explain how to keep our world safe. Also, she used conjunctions to link her ideas.  Great effort!

 

 

 

Apricot: Athena 

Athena has been working extremely hard on her writing. She has become independent when writing and sharing her ideas as well as picking up her pace when writing. Amazing!

 

 

 

 

Beech: Scarlet

 

 

Scarlet, you worked incredibly hard to complete your information text inspired by the story ‘10 things I can do to help my world. 'You correctly used full stops and capital letters to demarcate your sentences and included joining words to extend your sentences. Great work Scarlet.

 

 

 

Learning Power Awards

These are the key skills that our children will need to learn effectively in class and to be successful later in life.

These children have shown interdependence, collaborated effectively, listened to others, displayed empathy and have imitated effective  ideas and methods from others.
