And The Cedar Homework Champions Are...

A huge well done to Kanishka, Moyin, Katlyn and Temilola! These children have won the Cedar Homework race for the autumn term! The girls have climbed the tree each week because they have brought in their spelling books every single week and have also earned 'bonus climbs' when they have got 10/10 in their tests.

Regular spelling practise is important because it helps reinforce what the children have been learning at School and supports the children in broadening their vocabulary which in turn,  helps them become better writers and readers too!

Our expectation is that the pupils practise their ten spellings each night Monday - Thursday in preparation for the spelling test that we hold on Friday morning. We encourage the children to use these spellings in sentences for even greater understanding.

Once again, a big well done to the winners, and to all the pupils who have worked so hard at their spelling this term. Let's see who can be the top spelling chimp next term - the race will start again on the first week back!
