Independent learning in year 2

This term the children have been very resourceful during independent learning time.


Inside a group of children chose to use the IPads to research about Antarctica.

Outside the children made an igloo.

Then they cooked on a fire.

"If we make some food we can put it in the igloo on the fire", Charlie Marshall. 

Some children played a competitive game and made a score card to record their scores. 

Matthew has been practising his counting when throwing the ball into the racket.

"My record is 5." Jaydon was able to work out that if he was counting in 5s his score would be 25.

We are very pleased with the progress made in Year 2 so far, the children are beginning to show very impressive independent learning!
