Remembrance Day KS1

Key Stage One have been learning about the reasons why we wear poppies at this time of year.

We discussed that we wear poppies to remember soldiers and others who have died because of war.
Children have written peace poems, taken part in the two minutes silence and completed various Remembrance day activities. Outside the children created a poppy field on a large scale, using sponges and brushes. Each poppy different and unique - what a lovely piece of artwork! Great teamwork KS1.
