Mulberry's Recipes for Peace

This week Mulberry have been learning about the reasons why we wear poppies at this time of year.

We discussed that we wear poppies to remember soldiers and others who have died because of war. We have talked about what "war" means and learned that there are some children in the world who live in countries at war. They can lead lives that are very different to ours - there might not be enough food to eat or water to drink; they might not be able to go to school. We learned that peace is opposite to war: that we are lucky because we live in a peaceful country.

We worked in groups to write our own "Recipes for Peace", pictured below. There were some really thoughtful suggestions, including Charis Jones who suggested that feeling "peaceful" feels like "warmth" - like a mug of hot chocolate!

A particular mention for Tyler Wager who did a fantastic job of writing down his group's ideas!

Kaitlyn wrote "4 jugs of really good friends".
