Travelling Around The World

In their topic work Key Stage 1 children have been learning about seaside holidays. The children will be looking at seaside destinations abroad and comparing them to the seaside that we know in Britain. They have thought about how you might travel to your holiday today and have had some exciting journeys. First they boarded a plane and took a flight to America. The children were provided with drinks and snacks by our air hostess during the journey. There was some turbulence during the flight and the children had to put on their seat-belts but after this the flight went smoothly. In the afternoon the plane was swapped for a boat. The children sailed the oceans remembering to look out for lighthouses warning them of large rocks and shallow waters along the way!
