Cedar Class visit Bedford's Park

Cedar Class had an amazing time at Bedford's Park, despite it being very windy. We had a great time learning about plants, pond dipping and creating natural art.

Here we are trying to identify the different flowers in the garden beside the visitor's centre.

Emily the Ranger gave us all a different part of a plant which we had to do actions for, to demonstrate the job that they do.

This is a team game, we all enjoyed. We had to blindfold a member of our team and carefully take them to a tree. Once they had a chance to feel the tree, we then took them away from it and removed the blindfold. The blindfolded member then had to find the tree they had been touching.

We used branches, twigs and leaves to create natural art on the ground. We were amazed at the different artwork we could produce without using paint, paper and pencils.

This is a giant red deer.

At lunchtime we had a bit of free time. We enjoyed rolling down the hill, running and pretending to fly.

Pond dipping was our favourite activity. There were a lot of wriggling larvae in the pond.
