This week, Year 2 have been exploring Structure using natural resources — and what an imaginative week it has been.
The children set off on a mini nature hunt around the school grounds, collecting sticks, twigs and leaves. Using their findings, they created their very own Stick Man inspired by the artist Chris Kenny, who is known for his incredible stick figure sculptures.
The creativity on display was fantastic. Each child designed a unique stick person, and some even went a step further by crafting an entire Stick Man family. Their attention to detail and willingness to experiment really shone through.
It’s wonderful to see just how imaginative and resourceful our Year 2 children are. Their enthusiasm made this project a joy from start to finish.
Here are just a few examples of our Stick men.
