Year 1 Awards

 

 

These children have worked extremely hard and have been rewarded for all of their hard work and efforts.

E for Excellence


Apricot: Eliza

Eliza always completes her word to a high standard. She takes a lot of care in her writing and completes extra challenges in Maths.




Beech: Yoyo 

For working extremely hard in Phonics. He has shown fantastic progress in reading and writing words with set 1 and set 2 sounds. 




Walnut: Ellie

For her improved efforts to come to school smiling and for being kind and friendly to 


  Star Writers 

Apricot:Emirhan 

Emirhan has tried hard with his phonics and writing this week, He has been using his sounds to write CVC words. 



Beech: Oceann

For working hard to use capital letters  and full stops in the correct places. 


Walnut: Kailan

For trying so hard to form his letters correctly. Well done!

These are the key skills that our children will need to learn effectively in class and to be successful later in life.

These children have shown interdependence, collaborated effectively, listened to others, displayed empathy and have imitated effective  ideas and methods from others. 




Reflectiveness 

These pupils have planned carefully, revised ideas, identified key features and can talk about their learning.

These children have demonstrated perseverance, managed distractions, noticed patterns and been absorbed in their tasks. 


Maryam- for settling into year 1 well. We are so pleased to have you here at Broadford!




This has been awarded to: Almir

Almir shows resilience by following the class routine and will sit on the carpet nicely when other activities are going on in the classroom. 



Resourcefulness 

I Made My Teacher Happy Award 


Teodor- Teodor has been extremely welcoming to a new friend in class. 




Violet- For being kind and polite to everyone she meets and for being a fantastic role model to the children in Beech class. 




Kyara - Kyara has settled fantastically into Apricot Class and with lots of confidence.
