Apricot Class explore the Discover Centre!

Apricot Class had a fantastic day at the Discover Centre yesterday! After sensibly navigating a bus and two trains to get to Stratford, we were eager to get inside and start exploring. 

First stop was a story telling workshop where we were told the tale of the first dragon in Scotland and how he was defeated by a brave princess. We got into character as dragons, thinking about how they move and the sounds they make.

Next, it was time to explore the Fairy Tale exhibition. We had lots of fun searching for the Gingerbread Men that had escaped from the oven! We also found The Three Bears house, Billy Goat Gruff's bridge, The Three Little Pigs building their houses and Grandma's House where The Big Bad Wolf was peeking through the window!

After lunch, it was time for some fun in the park outside. We then headed back to the station to begin our journey back to school. We were all exhausted after our exciting day but had big smiles on our faces at home time.
