First few days in Year 2!

The children have been having lots of fun getting to know their new classes and their new teachers. In Cherry class they have been set lots of different challenges and the children have been eager to complete them and show off their skills! It has been an exhausting week for many as the children get back into their school routines and learn new things about their classes- we have fitted in a lot! Have a look at the photos below to see a snippet of the last few days. We look forward to having you back on Monday!

The children completing the spaghetti and marshmallow tower challenge!

Indoor fun- the children completed a series of team tasks to win prizes, one included building a tower of cups- the winner's tower was 80cm! The children loved supporting each other and showing off their 4R skills through negotiating, working together, reflecting and being creative! Well done!

During early morning time (before 9am) the children are given activities and tasks that allow them to explore the curriculum, build skills and investigate our topics. Here the children are exploring 'the great fire of London', completing word games and art activities.
