This week, year one had visit from PC Wayne. He told the children all about the different roles within the police, most of which PC Wayne had done!
He also brought in lots of hat, but these were no ordinary hats... They were special police hats! There were some that the police would wear to protect themselves and some that would be worn so that the public can see a police office from far away. Some of the children got to try the hats on...
The children got an opportunity to ask PC Wayne lots of questions and here are a few examples of what they wanted to know:
What do you use hand cuffs for?
When do you drive your car?
Why do you wear your hats?
Why do you need a helicopter?
Why do people call the police?
The children were very interested in what PC Wayne had to share with them and can't wait for his next visit!
