Egg-citing News! Year 2 Needs Your Empty Egg Boxes
Dear Parents and Carers,
When we return in September, Year 2 will be diving into a wonderful, imaginative Literacy unit on the beloved book The Egg Box Dragon by Richard Adams.
It’s a story about a little dragon who hatches from an ordinary egg box and turns out to have a magical way for finding lost things. To begin our unit, the children will start by designing and building their very own egg box dragons to bring the story to life!
We need your help!
What we need: Cardboard egg boxes of all sizes (6-pack, 10-pack, 12-pack, or large trays).
When to bring them: Please send them in with your child as soon as we return to school.
Note: For health and hygiene, please ensure the boxes are clean and dry.
Start saving those boxes! Your rubbish is about to become our Year 2 treasure, and we can’t wait to show you the amazing dragons the children create.
