Year 1 Awards

 

 

These children have worked extremely hard and have been rewarded for all of their hard work and efforts.

E for Excellence

Apricot: Damian 

Damian was working independently on a piece of writing. Damian checked his writing and was happy to check his letter formation.  



Beech: Harlie

For her brilliant Maths work this week. Harlie was able to find a half and a quarter of a quantity. Well done Harlie!




Walnut: Noura

For showing more effort in her work during independent activities. Fantastic Noura! Keep it up.



  Star Writers 

Apricot: Freya 

Freya completed a lovely piece of writing about how she felt when watching a piece of media. Freya had beautiful handwriting and could read back what she had written. 




Beech: Sataish

For working hard to apply your sounds to your writing. Well done Sataish! 


 Walnut: Inaya

For using fabulous sentences in her writing pieces this week. Inaya is also using a thesaurus to find new and exciting adjectives! Excellent work.







Learning Power Awards

These are the key skills that our children will need to learn effectively in class and to be successful later in life.

These children have shown interdependence, collaborated effectively, listened to others, displayed empathy and have imitated effective  ideas and methods from others. 




Reflectiveness 

These pupils have planned carefully, revised ideas, identified key features and can talk about their learning. 



Resilience

These children have demonstrated perseverance, managed distractions, noticed patterns and been absorbed in their tasks. 



Alexandra- For her efforts in improving her handwriting and ensuring to proofread her work. Well done!


Kayaan- Kayaan has persevered with his writing, taking more time to sound out words more independently. 






Resourcefulness   

These pupils have been curious about learning, made links between ideas, shown imagination, reasoned methodically and capitalised on resources. 



Antonina- For using the sound mat to help you apply your sounds to your writing. Well done Antonina!
