Year 1 Awards 26.5.23



These children have worked extremely hard and have been rewarded for all of their hard work and efforts.

E for Excellence

Apricot: Sonny 

Sonny has been trying and working hard when learning about time. Sonny willingly took part in the lesson, moving the hands on the clock to find O’clock. 




Beech: Wais for his hard work in every area of his learning this week. Wais has worked hard to complete brilliant pieces of Literacy, Maths and Topic work. Well done Wais! 



Walnut: Fatima

Well done Fatima for your brilliant effort during our maths assessment. You used your reasoning skills to answer tricky questions. Keep it up.






  Star Writers 

Apricot: Harvey

Harvey has been working more independently and has gained a lot more confidence with his writing. Harvey is also more aware of grammatical errors, which he happily corrects. 






Beech:  Kostiantyn for writing an amazing sentence. Well done Kosta!



Walnut: Harry

You have earned this award for using your sounds to independently write lovely sentences. Well done!

These are the key skills that our children will need to learn effectively in class and to be successful later in life.

These children have shown interdependence, collaborated effectively, listened to others, displayed empathy and have imitated effective  ideas and methods from others.

These pupils have planned carefully, revised ideas, identified key features and can talk about their learning.

Resilience

These children have demonstrated perseverance, managed distractions, noticed patterns and been absorbed in their tasks. 


William

This has been awarded to William for his effort during his science lesson. William worked very hard to complete his task about identifying and sorting different materials. Well done!


Resourcefulness   

These pupils have been curious about learning, made links between ideas, shown imagination, reasoned methodically and capitalised on resources. 


Bella and Bentley

Well done for using your imagination to  create a beautiful flip  book about how to look after our environment. Super job!




This has been awarded to: Summer is now able to exchange a Pec whilst the teacher is on the other side of the room. Summer is able to ask for what she wants and is doing well with this target. Well done Summer! 



I Made My Teacher Happy Award 

Roza

Roza has earned this award for writing an excellent and comprehensive letter to the headteacher about her thoughts regarding how to keep the school clean. Well done!

Finley has made fantastic changes to his behaviour and has been trying hard to work more independently.
