Linking to our topic 'Dungeons and Dragons', Cedar class have been learning all about castles. First we learnt how to defend a castle and then we learnt how to attack a castle. Florence and Hayden are lucky enough to have visited castles before! They brought in pictures to show the rest of the class. Cedar enjoyed trying to spot all the different features they have learnt about on the real castles. They could see the battlements, towers and arrow slits. Florence even had a picture of her running in the place where the moat used to be!
"I was showing my parents the battlements, and I told them what they were used for." Hayden.
"There used to be water in there, that was the moat." Florence.
