This morning, the children in Year 2 had a fantastic time visiting Hilldene Primary School for the annual Infant Music Festival. They sang a variety of songs with five other Schools in the local area and did so with great determination and enthusiasm. With big smiles on their faces and hats on their heads, they also sang their own song 'Raindrops keep falling on my head'. Although it was initially a daunting prospect for the children they demonstrated resilience proving they can overcome nerves and performed amazingly in front of the vast audience.
To finish the show the children from all Schools performed in a Cannon/Round, which required them to start singing at different intervals. This needed great skill to be able to isolate their own singing from others and remain focused. Again, they did this immaculately making all of the staff very proud.
The children will be performing all songs once more on Thursday morning for any family and friends who wish to attend. We look forward to showcasing our super singing yet again!
