Year One Barbican Trip

Dear Year One parents,

Please note there will be a trip for YEAR ONE to the Barbican Hall on Monday 20th March, in order to participate and sing songs the children have been practising in their music lessons. A letter was sent out today which mistakenly had Year Two written instead- apologies for this error. Please do complete this letter and return it with your child's lunch choice.

Learning Challenge Year One

Welcome back to school!

This term the children in Year One will be exploring the theme 'Enchanted Forest'. They will be looking at natural outdoor art, reading fairy tales and investigating Tudor times and the daily life of Shakespeare, specifically looking at his play 'Midsummer Night's Dream'. Below is this term's learning challenge, where children can further research some of these things. We look forward to seeing the children's efforts- there are many certificates to be awarded!

Do you love maths? If the answer is yes, then this week's maths challenge is for you! Not only will it get your brain working, it is also sprinkled with a touch of love to enjoy with the special people in your life.

Internet Safety Day!

Year 2 Star Writers

Well done to Alex and Ollie; our amazing Star Writers this week!

The boys wrote a newspaper report about the recent mysterious events in Year 2. The both proved they can write in columns, used the 5 'w's in their lead paragraph and even included eyewitnesses statements from that fateful day!
