Dear Parents and Carers,
Year Two - Curriculum Newsletter
Welcome back and a very happy New Year to you all. We hope the children had a lovely break and are excited for the new term!
We hope you find this letter informative. Please do not hesitate to contact your child’s class teacher if you have any questions regarding Year Two..

Homework:
Our expectation at Broadford is that every child should do the following every night:
·         15 minutes reading to an adult and note in the reading record
·         15 minutes practicing spellings
·         rehearsing times tables facts (x2, x5, x10)

Spellings:
The children will practise their spellings from Monday to Thursday and take their test on Friday.
The children will be split into 2 groups for spellings, group 1 will follow the Literacy and Language scheme and group 2 will follow the RWI scheme.
Thank you for your continued support. Please make sure you continue to practise spellings at home and remember to bring in your spelling books.
Please ensure that your child brings their red spelling book to school every Monday and Friday.
