Egg-static about the Easter Bunny in Year One!

Pine Class were lucky enough to receive a visit from the Easter Bunny this week, ahead of the Easter break. The children arrived in the classroom after to lunch to find a note from the Easter Bunny and the first clue to an Easter egg hunt! Pine class were eager to get going and start hunting for the clues in hope of finding a special treat.

The children showed great reciprocity skills in solving the clues and working together to search the outside area. The clues eventually led them to the fire pit at the end of the trail where there was a basket of delicious Easter treats for everyone!

The basket was brought back to class and chocolate eggs, bunnies and chicks were enjoyed by all.

After all of the egg-citement, the children decided to write some letters to the Easter Bunny to thank them for the chocolate they left. They applied their skills they have been learning in phonics and literacy and produced some egg-cellent writing. We left the letters in Pine class hoping that the Easter Bunny would return to collect them.

'I can't believe what has happened!' - Luke
' We wear goggles in the woodwork area!' - Zoe
'Let's say thank you to the Easter Bunny' - Anna
