Year One Open Maths Morning

In Pine class, we held an open morning for parents to come and see what we have been learning about in maths so far, in Year One. The children were excited to show their parents and adults the maths activities they use every morning to help explore and consolidate their learning of number, shape, fractions, measure, time and money. These activities are set up to reinforce prior learning and are available for children to use alongside their maths lessons and group work with an adult. This ensures there are lots of opportunities for the children to extend their learning and practise their current skills through their play.

"I enjoyed helping to show the adults how to make 2D and 3D shapes and work out their names looking at their properties" Kiera T.

"After, we got to play Bingo with Miss Gooding and all my numbers came up!" Andreea.
