Take a look at the fantastic sandcastle some children in Cherry class made yesterday.
Children have fully immersed themselves in our new topic 'Dungeons and Dragons' whereby we have already learnt about the features of a Castle and how they are used as a defence.
In the sandpit children used correct terminology when discussing their Castle. It had a moat, a drawbridge, a keep, towers, arrow slits and a flag! Wow!
I'm looking forward to seeing if any other fantastic Castles will be created in the sandpit today!
Digging the Moat.
The Keep is placed and the Towers begin to take form...
Up goes the Flag!
The Moat needs water in to keep the enemy away!
Ta Da! We named it Cherry Castle!
