                             Year One Stay and Learn

Dear Parents/Carers,

We would like to welcome you to our fifth Stay and Learn session in Year One. This will be on Tuesday 21st May at 2:15 - 3:00pm.

The theme will be, reading. You will be invited into the classroom to read with your child in their learning environment and we will end the day with a Read, Write, Inc session, lead by the teacher, showing you one of the strategies we use to help teach the children to read.

Due to Polling Day, the children who usually attend Forest School on Thursdays, will be going on Tuesday instead. Those parents of children who go to Forest School are still welcome to attend, but please be aware that your child will not be there.

We hope to see as many of you there as possible.

Kind regards,

The Year One Team

Luke’s Learning Challenge

Luke’s Learning Challenge

Luke has thrown himself in our new 'Rumble in the Jungle' topic by completing his learning challenge at home. Luke not only created a fantastic picture of the jungle but he also learnt the Rumble in the Jungle poem and confidently performed it to the rest of the class.

Well done for continuing your learning at home Luke!

Pine Class Certificates

Pine Class Certificates

Pine Class have been showing some fantastic reciprocity skills this week!

Danny has earned himself a reciprocity certificate for his efforts in setting up our new 'deconstructed role play' area. He collaborated well with his peers, taking everyone's idea's into consideration, resulting in him building a fantastic castle!

Thomas has also earned a reciprocity certificate for consistently being a brilliant role model. Well done for always being kind and polite and collaborating so effectively with your friends.

Keep up the good work!
