Mulberry go to the Discovery Centre!

Mulberry had a brilliant time in Stratford today.
As soon as we came out of the station we spotted an old, red steam train like we had learned about in our transport topic.
We listened to a story about Hooter the alien. On his alien planet all of the stories had disappeared! We needed to help him by making up some stories of our own.

We explored the story trail to look for inspiration. There was a palace, a deep, dark cave and plenty of fancy dress costumes.

We made up a story about a dragon called Draggy, a wolf called Wolfy and a snake called Spike!
After a delicious lunch indoors we had some time to explore the adventure playground and enjoy the beautiful, sunny day!

We walked back to the station where the children really enjoyed watching the central line train arriving and departing whilst we waited for our train back to school.

There were lots of happy (but tired) children at the end of a long, enjoyable day.

An enormous thank you to all the parent helpers!

Cherry's morning work.

As we speak children are racking their brains to think of as many words using the letters below. The children have more than impressed with their persistence!

This is how they're getting on so far...

Early Start for Trip Tomorrow

Children in Pine class make sure your alarms are set early for our trip to Discovery Children's Story Centre. We will be travelling by public transport so children will need to be here no later than 8.30am. The trip promises to be a fun filled day and as the weather promises to be nice the children will also be able to use the lovely story garden.

Cherry's star writer.

Michael Rack is this weeks star writer in Cherry. He did particularly well in his efforts to improve the presentation of his work and using conjunctions. Keep it up Michael!

Cedar Class Celebrate Attendance Win at Kidspace

Cedar Class had a fabulous time at Kidspace yesterday. All the different areas were explored more than once. Sliding down the slides, firing balls into the air, bravely tackling the Sky Trail and racing round the go-kart circuit was enjoyed by all.

Everyone had a great time and behaviour was impeccable! Well done Cedar! All our fingers and toes are crossed that we can win again.

WoW – Walk to School

Walk to school passports for the summer term have arrived and will be given out this week. There are three more chances to earn yourself walk to school badges throughout the summer term.

Remember all you have to do is walk to school or part of the way at least once a week and record this on your passport.

At the end of each month The JTA’s will check the passports and give out the badges!

Keep walking, it helps to keep you healthy and it’s kinder to the environment.

Happy Assembly

Congratulations to these fantastic children who have been making their teachers very happy this week.  They have been given certificates because they have been demonstrated resilience, reflectiveness, reciprocity or  resourcefulness in their classes this week.

Week 3. Writing league update.

See below the latest instalment of the writing league. Well done to Ella Nash who is managing to keep the lead for Tottenham by consistently doing her best in every lesson and producing great writing.

Cedar's Star Writer

This week Alisha March is our Star Writer! She has written a favourable film review of 'Frozen', which has certainly made me want to watch the film. Have a look at Alisha's review and see if she can also persuade you.
